Position Summary
ION is looking for a full-time, detail-oriented, and dedicated Assistant OfficeManager to join our growing company. This role will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient functioning of the office. This position involves a variety of administrative tasks, event coordination, and food &beverage management as well as supporting the General Manager in daily operations. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, possess excellent communication skills, and be capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the General Manager in planning and implementing office policies and procedures.
- Manage office supplies inventory and place orders as needed.
- Handle incoming and outgoing shipments, mail, and deliveries.
- Assist General Manager in travel arrangements for staff.
- Assist General Manager in planning, organizing, and execution of corporate events such as conferences, employee parties/events, and executive retreats.
- Manage the inventory of pantry and kitchen supplies, including snacks, beverages, and office groceries.
- Place food orders based on the office’s needs, dietary restrictions, and preferences.
- Maintain office records, files, and databases, ensuring all documents are properly organized and accessible.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience:

Position Type / Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position working standard business hours. This position may require the flexibility to work diverse schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant role will be an integral member of the accounting team, responsible for maintaining the financial records of the company through precise record keeping, preparation of monthly financial statements, development of management reports, cash flow reporting, and strategic analysis. The candidate would most benefit from possessing an entrepreneurial spirit paired with strong accounting expertise; and a sharp analytical mind who can manage our processes and guide our financial strategy. They will need to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and contractual obligations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
FinancialReporting and Analysis: Maintain financial records, reconcile general ledger accounts, prepare bank reconciliations, and other routine accounting procedures to support the closing of our financial records monthly, quarterly, annually, and the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, management reports and variance analysis to be utilized to identify trends, from which the Senior Accountant will provide actionable recommendations.
WorkingCapital Management: Oversee the company’s cash flow, monitoring income and expenditures, and effectively managing cash receipts and disbursements to optimize financial performance, working capital and strategic investments. Manage the processes for accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice creation, payment processing, and overdue account management.
Invoicing: Preparing accurate invoices to commercial customers and the Department of Energy (DOE) in a timely manner, tracking payments, and addressing any billing inquiries.
Disbursements: Reviewing the accuracy of invoices and other cash disbursements in comparison to purchase orders and contractual obligations, recording disbursements in the general ledger and maintaining all supporting documentation within the accounting system.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Actively participate in the annual budgeting process and provide continuous forecasting to support strategic planning. Work closely with key stakeholders to identify income opportunities and cost savings to drive profitability.
Financial Process Enhancement: Continuously assess and improve financial processes, internal controls, and procedures to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and transparency. Implement best practices to streamline workflows and drive operational excellence.
Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial and DOE regulations and US GAAP. Coordinate with external auditors during DOE and traditional financial audits and lead the preparation of necessary documentation and schedules. Assist with periodic reporting to taxing and regulatory authorities, including completion of business licenses, and 1099s.
Business Collaboration: Partner with project managers and corporate managers in developing operational metrics that enable informed decision-making.
Ad Hoc Tasks: Undertake additional duties as needed.
Qualifications,Education, and Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or equivalent education and experience
· Between2-4 years of progressive experience in accounting, preferably comprised of time with a public accounting firm and private industry
· CPA, CMA, or similar designation is preferred
· Thorough knowledge of US GAAP and other relevant accounting principles
· Experience with financial reporting and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
· Strong understanding of regulatory compliance (DOE grant expertise is a plus) and experience with external audits
· Expertise in Netsuite is a must, expertise in QuickBooks is a plus
· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, and the broader MS365 collaboration tools (e.g. Loop, Teams, Planner)

ION is searching for a Process Lab Technician to develop new carbon capture technologies at the bench scale in support of our engineering teams currently involved in designing large scale commercial CO2 capture facilities worldwide. The Process Lab Technician will work with the R&D engineering team to design, build, implement, and operate process lab equipment within ION’s state-of-the-art lab facilities. Reporting directly to the Director of Advanced Engineering, the technician will provide input and know-how for best practices involved in fabrication at the bench scale to ensure safe and operable experimental setups.The position requires a hands-on individual that also works well with scientists and engineers to provide workable and pragmatic designs for new technical problems.
EssentialDuties and Responsibilities:
· Thoroughly explores process options and continuously implements procedures that optimize quality, automation, and efficiency.
· Documents process methodology, controls, and quality standards.
· Develops test plans and safe operating procedures for pilots and prototypes.
· Identifies performance standards and proactively provides expertise in solving complex technical problems.

· Takes direction from the Director of Advanced Engineering, refines R&D project scope and objectives and ensures R&D project execution is in alignment with goals.

· Understand on-site regulations and safety for individual power/industrial sites and how an ION test stand could be deployed there.
· Interface with the ION Principal Chemist to obtain analyses of samples and prepare reports for the commercial customers.
· Decommission and re-deploy the test stand(s) at the end of the test campaigns.
Qualifications,Education, and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related field or equivalent education and experience
· 5+ years of relevant experience in a process lab or small scale-up setting
· Solid understanding of methods and techniques used in a process lab atmosphere
· Demonstrated capability in small mechanical systems (pumps, tanks, vessels, threaded piping, stainless tubing, etc.).
· Affinity for the design, assembly, and operation/optimization of industrial (bench and pilot)plants.
· Working understanding of various types of Pressure, Temperature, Flow measurement and instrumentation.
· Experience with analyzers (both gas and liquid) and calibration of same.
· Understanding of safety standards and OSHA compliance guidelines.

Aspart of the Company’s Executive Management Team and reporting directly to the President and Chief Financial Officer of the Company, the Senior Vice President of Finance & Accounting performs a leadership role in the Company’s financial decision-making. Responsibilities include oversight for the planning, implementation, and managing of the finance, accounting, planning, tax, insurance, and treasury activities of the Company.
Essential Job Functions:
· Leads the Finance & Accounting Organization
· EvaluatesCompany’s financial performance, identifies financial strengths and weaknesses and proposes corrective actions
· Provides strategic management for the accounting, tax compliance, financial planning& reporting, insurance, and treasury functions
